The biggest-selling comedian in recording history, Jeff Foxworthy rode his famous routine ? "You might be a redneck if..." ? into over ten best-selling books, a TV show (for ABC and later NBC) and a series of platinum albums which contained his countrified Southern humor. The first, You Might Be a Redneck If..., was released in 1993 on Laughing Hyena. It sold the most copies of any comedy album in history, with totals of almost four million units. Warner Bros. purchased Foxworthy's contract a year later, and released his second proper album, Games Rednecks Play, in 1995. It went double-platinum, and earned the comedian a Grammy nomination. The first non-spoken work, Crank It Up - The Music Album, was released in September 1996 and enjoyed a gold certification. Totally Committed followed in 1998 and Big Funny arrived in 2000.
